OCP&E Vapor and Contact Phase Neutranone


OCP&E® Vapor and Contact Phase Neutranone™ Formula is designed for municipal and industrial applications requiring a full strength odor neutralizer for tough odor problems.  For the contact phase, Neutranone features two encapsulators: Ordenone® is added to create a chemical lattice to entrap sulfides, amines, mercaptans, ammonia, indole and skatole compounds, etc.  Zinc ricinoleate is added to erase ammonia and other odors.  For the combined contact and vapor phase, Neutranone employs a carefully selected blend of potent essential oils and synthetic aromatic compounds to control odors on the principles of Odor Modification: Adsorption, Interference, and Combination.

This proven-effective chemical contains an ecologically sound surfactant, Ordenone® inclusion clathrate encapsulator, zinc ricinoleate, an additional trade secret encapsulator which lowers the vapor pressure on malodors, a blend of several essential oils and essential oil derivatives, synthetic aromatic compounds, phytochemicals, and biologicals designed to reduce organic odors.  

Ordenone® is an odorless inclusion clathrate compound which acts as a chemical lattice to entrap sulfides, amines, mercaptans, ammonia, indole and skatole compounds, and certain aldehydes.  The following chart illustrates an independent laboratory test of ammonia removal at 77.5% achieved with 3% Ordenone® in water.  

Zinc Ricinoleate is a zinc salt of ricinoleic acid.  Zinc oxide comprises the zinc source, while ricinoleic acid is a purified fatty acid from castor seed oil extracted from the Ricinus communis plant.  Zinc ricinoleate does not contain ricin.  Zinc salts of ricinoleic acid are effective at controlling a broad spectrum of odors.  Because of its safety profile and effectiveness, zinc ricinoleate is widely used in personal care products such as commercial deodorants, anti-perspirants, laundry detergents, etc.   

Biological Odor Control: The Bacillus spore blend targets a wide range of malodorous organic compounds including ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, volatile fatty acids, and mercaptans.  The biological component also degrades proteins, starches, cellulose, fats, oils, and greases.  The application specific bacteria produce extracellular enzymes that degrade organic matter, such as proteins.  The degradation by-products are metabolized by the bacteria cells and utilized for growth.  Thus, the slow break-down of these materials, which would otherwise result in the formation of numerous malodorous compounds, can not occur, and the odors are prevented at point source.    

Neutranone imparts a powerful yet neutral citrus scent.  This clear formula contains no dyes or colorants, making it ideal for use as a compounding agent for janitorial, carpet, upholstery, and fabric care products.
